Vincent Pilette (born September 5, 1972) is an American businessman and the current CEO of Gen Digital, Inc. Pilette has over 20 years of experience in finance and technology, having previously held executive positions at companies like HP, Novell, and Compaq.

Pilette was born and raised in Belgium and attended the University of Antwerp, where he earned a degree in applied economics. After completing his undergraduate studies, Pilette went on to pursue an MBA at INSEAD in France. Pilette began his career in finance, working for various firms, including Ernst & Young and PwC. He later transitioned to technology, joining Compaq in 1999 as Senior Director of Finance for the EMEA region. He then held several finance leadership positions at HP, including vice president of finance for the Personal Systems Group and vice president of finance for the Enterprise Group.

Career

In 2018, Pilette joined Gen Digital as CFO, and was appointed CEO in January 2021. Under his leadership, the company has continued to expand its offerings and global reach, providing innovative digital solutions to clients across various industries. Pilette is a member of the Board of Directors at Nutanix, a cloud computing company. He holds a degree in applied economics from the University of Antwerp in Belgium and an MBA from INSEAD in France.

In 2019, Vincent Pilette was appointed as the CEO of LifeLock, which later rebranded as GenDigital after acquiring Avast in 2022. Pilette transformed the dynamics of Symantec after separating its consumers into the NortonLifelock brand. With his expansion strategy, Gen Digital has grown considerably, with over 500 million users in 150 countries now. Pilette's 20 years of experience in the technology sector have helped him lead the company to new heights. He also serves as a board member of SonicWall, a privately acquired organization in the software space.

Personal Life

Pilette is married and has two children. He enjoys skiing and is an avid traveler, having visited over 70 countries. Pilette is also involved in various philanthropic initiatives, including supporting education and healthcare programs in developing countries.
