Shantanu Narayen

Shantanu Narayen (born May 27, 1963), a renowned Indian-American business executive, is known for his key role as the CEO of Adobe Inc. Shantanu Narayen was brought up in Hyderabad in a Telugu-speaking family. His mother was an American literature teacher, while his father ran a business. He completed his schooling at Hyderabad Public School before pursuing a degree in electronics and communication from the College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Narayen later shifted to the United States to pursue his Master's degree in CS from Ohio. Well, he didn’t stop there; he also earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Career
Narayen began his career at Apple, where he worked on early versions of the company's multimedia software. He then worked at Silicon Graphics and co-founded a company called Pictra, which developed software for managing digital photos. In 1998, he joined Adobe, where he held various positions before being appointed CEO in 2007.
Under Narayen's leadership, Adobe has grown significantly and has expanded its software offerings to include cloud-based solutions and marketing software. Narayen is widely recognized for his leadership and innovation in the technology industry, and he has received numerous awards for his contributions to business and philanthropy.
Shantanu Narayen's contributions to the business world have earned him numerous awards and honors. Narayen was also appointed as a member of the Management Advisory Board for Barack Obama in 2011. Furthermore, he is currently serving as the vice chairman of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum and holds the position of lead independent director for the board of directors at Pfizer. In 2019, the Indian government bestowed upon him the prestigious Padma Shri award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the business world.
